[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I hope the doctors have answers for vw and sj.

This apparently makes me unrehireable.

What a shame that you don't have the opportunity to become unrehireable by supergluing the dressing rooms shut or adding manical laughter to the headset system.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

This apparently makes me unrehireable.

In a whole illegal way, sure. Jackholes.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

{{{vw}}} I'm so sorry. I was being all selfish and skipping. I hope the doctor's have so solution for you today. Take care.

Thanks, Beverly. I am seriously considering calling the HR department to complain about my manager. She consistently told me I carried too much stuff in my purse, despite the fact that I repeatedly explained to her how many medical supplies I require to get me through the day.

Because books.

Breathing ~ma for vw. Poor thing. {{{vw}}}

First, I hope the doctor has something for you, for the pain. Being up all night is awful.

But also? WTF?! What does she care how much stuff you have in your purse? I would seriously call HR and let them know how this place treated you.

Because she has to methodically go through everyone's purse when we leave to make sure that we aren't stealing.

Yeah, that's standard for retail, but the places I've worked, it's more like, open your bag, quick look, OK, then, you're off. And some of us had some big ass bags. Also, at Christmas, some of us had big old shopping bags. Really, though, the assumption was that we WEREN'T stealing, and the place you were at, it sounds like that's not the case.

I also strongly urge you to let HR what a travesty of a manager is there at that store. What do you have to lose?

~ma to vw.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

I hate that about retail. We had to have clear purses at the consignment store. I guess I understand, but it really hurts morale, for me anyway.

Also, your manager sucks like unto a black hole.

It is standard practice which I have dealt with before, but you're right it is usually a quick look through unless they suspect you of something. I am really only worried about getting a bad reference from this place if I apply for another job.

It does, and despite the fact that I never have and never would steal from an employer, it makes me think thoughts like, if I were to steal from you do you think I would be stupid enough to put money and/or merchandise in my purse?

Always Anti-fascist!

Yeah...if you were the dumbest thief ever. Smart shoplifters bring uncontrollable children or something. Duh. Diversions.
