Well, you'd better not be thinking what I think you're thinking, because my answer is the same as always — no threesomes unless it's boy-boy-girl. Or Charlize Theron.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Art Crawl!!!

I just finished watching Injustice and now have people plummeting off of mountains. . . . no, wait - - they are moving on to something else.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I am, in fact, on the fifth floor.

I'm thinking of givingthe dog one awesome walk a day and using papers. I just don't know.

Cass, be sure to tell Brit nothing substantive, mkay?

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Seriously. I now want to tell her *everything.* Alternately I want to write my stepmom (no, not her parents cause I don't like them at all right now and the conversation would go badly) and ask for three good reasons why we are not supposed to tell her, or ask about, anything substanative.

Is the weather a spoiler? She's in Vermont and I don't want to upset her with the sunniness here or anything.

Yeah, ask D.

You said you'd never lie to her. Maaaaaaybe omit certain things, but if she asks? Fuck it.

Did you see the Ferrari in the opening ceremonies?

sunniness
WTF? The weather here is sunny, not Muslim. Sheesh.

Oh, totally. But I haven't heard from her yet, so I am at the trying to omit without breaking that promise place currently. Which is harder than I would have thought.

There was a Ferrari? Damn. I should go google me some news pictures.

If you need a laugh and enjoy hearing about cats and people making fools of themselves, I've written up a little story about my day yesterday:

It's nice to see some brave pretenders trying to make it interesting.

Kristin, thanks for the laugh. I really needed that right now.

Our wings are not tired.

I'll watch and enjoy the Olympics if I happen to be near a tv, but don't go out of my way for it. I have so much taped stuff to catch up with first. Very sorry I missed the opening stuff. My sister said they had cow people that Brendon would have loved.

Happy Birthday -t! Have a fabulous year.

Yay Hil!

I had a nice visit with Perkins. Her plane was delayed so she didn't get in until after midnight. About 2am by the time we got to my house. Bobby didn't get to meet her because he was out the door to school at 7:15 and lazy thing was still sleeping just because her body thought it was 4am.

We took a relaxed walk through my little city and munched some ice cream. Then we headed to Miami to have lunch with DH. For the local color and cuisine we ate at the Latin American. OMG the food was good. The server didn't actually speak English and delivered a plate to Brendon and one to me. Perkins' meal was apparently delayed. I ate about half of my huge sandwich when the late plate arrived and it was discovered that I had eaten half of her meal. Ooops. I had ordered chicken and she had pork. I'm still new at the meat eating thing (and likely to drop it again) and with the very tasty spicy garlic and such I couldn't tell the difference. The servings were so large it didn't matter. I ate a bit of my chicken but had to bring the bulk of it home. I enjoyed a cup of cuban coffee and Brendon had a cuban sandwich and more.

After lunch we had to get Perkins back to MIA to be on her way to Ecuador. She would be flying again today out to Galapagos. Twas a quick visit but wonderful to see her. And she got to sleep in the camouflage room with any number of GI Joes.
