Spike's Bitches 28: For the Safety of Puppies...and Christmas!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

It's nice to see some brave pretenders trying to make it interesting.

I'll bring the booze.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Em is doing much better this morning. She has kept down PediaLyte, a little bit of milk, pears, and a teeny bit of toast. All given to her over a 5 hour period. She's running around playing and just talked to my sister on the phone for a couple of mnutes. Diapers have been wet and she doesn't seem dehydrated. I tried to put her down for a nap, but she kept crying and then coughing so I was afraid she'd thrown up again. She hadn't, but the nap-spell a broken so now she's playing under ly legs.

Also, for those of you not on LJ, we are not moving. Better to say and pay off debts. I got a great job (maybe) job offer that pays more. I go talk to them about it tomorrow. We'll see.

Because books.

Aimee, as long as diapers are wet, she's not dehydrated. {{{Em}}}

Philly would have been honored to have you guys, but you made a sensible decision.

I'm sad, too.

Ok, attempt #2 at nap underway. Why does she not understand? Take these naps while they are there for the taking! Pretty soon you'll be an overscheduled toddler and then a whiny teenager and then a working adult and you'll WISH your mom would come and stroke your hair and pick you up and wrap you in fleece and make you go to sleep for 2 hours in the middle of the day!

For that matter, it should be, "Look ya'll! No hands up the President's ass!

Unless she asks real purty."

Herding cats for fun

stroke your hair and pick you up and wrap you in fleece and make you go to sleep for 2 hours in the middle of the day!

(sigh) sounds heavenly, it really does. Think of all that little Olivia Rose has to look forward to! Welcome, baby. I have had the pleasure of meeting your Mama and your big brother, and they are both fine people. I know they will love you lots; plus I'm sure, Daddy too.

I have amphibians in my yard. The project du jour is laying a patio using paving stones, and when I picked one up to move it, there was a little black salamander, curled up into a spiral. There were big, cute forward-set eyes and tiny, useless looking limbs like the front paws on a Tyrannosaurus. Internet research indicates this is a Slender Salamander, which is a lungless skin respirator living off slugs and spiders. I'm truly amazed such a thing can live here because our summer is so hot and so dry.

Now I'm especially glad that I'm squeamish about using Roundup, I've read that it is particularly harmful to amphibians. I host habitat amid a sea of overchemicalized lawns. Go me.

Compassionately intolerant

Yay you with the habitat. I'm sure Roundup has its uses, but it skeers me.
