Sweet lumpy minion, you're the only one that understands. Probably 'cause I haven't sucked the brain out of you yet.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Smart people can be stupid too

Question (/amusing situation) for the hivemind:

I recieved gift certificate for amazon.ca for Christmas. When I tried to redeem the certificate, the numbers didn't add up right (the final statement said that my order was -- if I recall correctly -- exactly twice the price it should have been and that my certificate was larger by the same margin) so i cancelled the order. Today I tried again, only to find that my certificate balance has gone up again by the same amount and is now nearly triple its original size. I have now placed an order for slightly less than the original value and have a displayed remaining balance of nearly twice that value.

It seems obvious to me that this is some sort of a programming error but I'm not really sure what I should do (the options, as I see them, being a) write amazon an email alerting them to the problem or b) go on a shopping spree).

Opinions anyone?

Good luck with the review Nora!

Helena, maybe by alerting to the error, you will garner some reward? At least in brownie points. What happens if they discover the error after the spree and bill you for it? On the other hand, big system, unlikely dedection = moral dilemma.

mememe = tonight's the big 'first date in three years'. I'm exhausted from the anticipation...and I made the mistake of using my mad research skillz to uncover intel on the fella. I've gone from knowing nothing to maybe knowing too much. Only in the respect that he seems really, hardcore serious. I'm at an age where humor is like oxygen. Sigh. Oh well. At least I like the outfit I've picked out.

Oops. Oh, well, maybe the date can be like an interview for a job you're kind of "meh" about. Good practice and all that.

Review~ma you you, Nora.

I'm getting the pig!

Helena - did you recieve the Amazon gift certificate through email? If an email came from Amazon and it had the amount of the gc in it, I'd hold off on the shopping spree.

I haven't had a cigarette since Sunday night. My entire body hurts, I've had an ongoing headache since Monday afternoon, I have NO energy and I can't concentrate for shit.

Wheeeeee! I'm so glad I quit smoking! /sarcasm

This is exactly the conclusion I came to after hitting the post button. a) drought broken, yay b) serious and kind can make for a good friend c) hey, a DATE

Nicole, bless you in every way possible. It's wicked hard, I know...but from what I understand, the hell is paid off handsomely when you get to the other side. Much easing of suffering ma to you.
