Anya, the Shopkeepers of America called. They wanted me to tell you that 'please go' just got replaced with 'have a nice day.'

Spike's Bitches 28: For the Safety of Puppies...and Christmas!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Hec - did you see the big news? We the the Big Hurt for a year. If you want me to try to get his autograph at Spring Training, bring me a ball sometime.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I've never had much trouble washing rayon. Taking it out of the dryer (low) early is key though.

Me and dry cleaning have a really rocky relationship. We don't see each other much.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Dry cleaning and I were close for years, because of the whole not-ironing thing, but then I left the corporate world. Working at home really lets the inner sloven out.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Oh darn, am I late in stabbity-poking Katie's ex-boss (and good riddance, ptui!)? I have a collection of stabbity objects. Fortunately or un, they're also edged, though, so I mustn't get carried away.

Of course I always hear Richie Cunningham impersonating Richard Widmark in Kiss of Death, "Cut, cut, cut! Slice, slice, slice! (evil cackle) Heheheheh!" when I contemplate Katie's e-vile ex-boss.

Me and ironing don't get along. I'm okay with hanging clothes up carefully to dry, but there is no ironing of the wardrobe here. That brown paisley suit looks like it has survived the trauma of the washer. So, Ginger, is it sweats or jeans that you sloven in? Me, I prefer something from the velour family.

Holy shit. That means they'll probably trade Payton or Kielty, move Swish back to RF and DJ to 1B. Still - that's a big damn bat if he can stay healthy. And the A's have a long tradition of picking up Veteran Black Sluggers: Dave Parker, Don Baylor, Ron Gant, Dave Justice...

If he can stay healthy...

Oh I don't iron either. It's just that I don't get to see the stuff that needs to go to the cleaners as often because it sits in a bad in my backseat for weeks and months until I actually manage to stop and give them my clothes and my money. On the upside, instant new wardrobe once I pick things up.

David - Interesting thought. I haven't wrapped my brain around the new acquisitions yet. I think they would be more likely to keep Payton over Kielty, though who knows.

The countdown to Spring Training is ON. I even printed out the map for our drive to Phoenix - 10.5 hours according to Yahoo. I should find out if any Buffistas live along I-10...

Didn't I once read that it's a good idea to take dry-cleaned garments out of their plastic bags and let them air out, so they don't outgas unpleasant chemicals into your airspace? I'll call that another reason for being too lazy and cheap to take clothing out of the house for maintenance. (pats restored washing machine with genuine affection) My favorite little appliance, she's so cute and white and enamelly.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I've been know to take clean clothes to the dry cleaner to avoid the trauma of ironing.
