Simon: Captain's a good fighter, he must know how to handle a sword. Zoe: I think he knows which end to hold.

Spike's Bitches 28: For the Safety of Puppies...and Christmas!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Not sure what it has to do with vampires either, but it's lurvely.

Art Crawl!!!

I think it's obviously something that Zoe would wear and look devastating in.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

Don't buy a Honda no matter how old it is.

I like my Honda! It has treated me well. I may occasionally wish for a six cylinder, but other that than I am well pleased.

Betsy, that is a gorgeous coat.

Does anyone know if David (novachild) has been in or around the board at all? I gave up the ghost and left xela for antigua, and if he was still here I wanted to hook up with him.

Talk about random--meeting another buffista in guatemala, of all places.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

According to the auctioneer:

Firefly and Serenity fans like this coat. I guess it has enough of that futuristic post nuclear western look.

It doesn't look Western to me at all, even futuristic post nuclear, but it's still utterly gorgeous. Possibly the auctioneer should amend her/his statement to:

Firefly and Serenity fans like this coat. I guess they have eyes, brains, and excellent taste in frockcoats.

Mostly lurking...

Hec would be pleased. I just made an appointment with the fancy schmancy salon for a cut and color. Now I just need to decide what I want to do!

Thank goodness my books were $150 under budget! ;)

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Yay, vw! You deserve a nice treat.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Looking at the frockcoat reminded me that I have stashed away a bunch of French Foreign Legion uniform buttons. I'm not sure what I was thinking when I got them ... they're still waiting to go on something or other.

Now tagless for your comfort.

And as much as I would like to tell Gud to eat- I think that is like telling my DH to eat. DH never believes me when I say eating more often is easier on digestion, prevents overeating, increases your metabolic rate, and makes dealing with day to day stress easier. Note that I do not say how often anyone should eat. Some people do well with twice a day. Some of us do better with 5 or 6 times a day. But once a day - means once in 24 hous. that's not very usual for mamals.

This is my DH. He doesn't eat in the morning. He just has no appetite until he wakes up a little bit. He usually grabs a drinkable yogurt and a piece of string cheese on the way out, at least, though, for later in the morning. And sometimes if he's really busy at work, he'll skip lunch. But by the time he gets home, he's usually starving and cranky.

He's hypoglycemic and he knows it. I've tried sending packets of nuts, apples, power bars etc. with him to work but he'd forget about them. I gave up. I'm his wife, not his mother. /Rant

Aimee, I had to miss my uncle's funeral last month and it made me feel extremely bad--but I just couldn't face the travel so I sent a card to my aunt and chipped in with my sisters for food for the funeral and that made me feel better.

{{{Gud}}} I hope the end of the month brings better things for you. Right now, I'm just glad it's nearly tax time because we're sorely depending on the refund to catch up on some bills that came in that I was hoping wouldn't arrive until February. Things do tend to balance out in the end, with a little creative budgeting.

Don't buy a Honda no matter how old it is.

I adored my Honda. It was very reliable and served us well for nine years. But I understand they're very popular for stealing.

Oh, I liked my 12-year old Civic plenty. So did the car thieves, apparently.

Thrive to spite them

My therapist called today and gave me information about a DBT group. She doesn't know when it will start but I'm on the list! I'm so excited!!
