And don't you ever stand for that sort of thing. Someone ever tries to kill you, you try to kill 'em right back! ... You got the right same as anyone to live and try to kill people.

Spike's Bitches 28: For the Safety of Puppies...and Christmas!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I thought this was a fascinating article. Anyone read the book?

Woe to the fucking wicked.

I didn't say they were unavailable. Just hard to find drivethrough. although wiith the time saved with cooking, it may be a wash.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Crap, Steph. I hope your back feels better soon.

I am watching last night's TDS and have just discovered that I have a massive crush on Josh Lucas. Damn the numminess is intense. I have watched the interview three times.

Also just called the gas co. to have them turn on my pilot light. They'll be here on Tuesday. At which point I will be a popsicle. Stil 49° in here.

I should go to IKEA and buy a mass of tealights. Nothing like twenty candles to warm the place up.

Vincent's man-drag was good enough, as it turns out. Before writing this book, she spent a year and a half posing as a man and, insofar as she could, living as one. As "Ned," she joined a bowling league, went to strip clubs, entered a monastery, dated heterosexual women (and slept with one of them), worked a sales job and went on a men's-movement retreat, all without being discovered.
The hell? She slept with a het woman, as a man, and the chick didn't notice?

edited to change the masculine ordinal to an actual degree sign.

She did, I think, from what I could gather from when he touched on it later in the piece.

I do agree that moving far outside your normal social type (from NYC to "the heartland") is only going to increase the disconnect, and is sort of dishonest, in the experiment.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Thought I would bring this to the attention of the craftier among us: [link]

Current discussions there include the making of codpieces, corsets, and fairy wings.

Ah. I just got busted for only reading to the cut, didn't I?

What is even happening?

Ooh. You should get checks for Toto too.

And Toto, too? (sorry)

I need flexiril and a very large beer. Sadly, I only have the beer (at home), no drugs.

Oh Teppy, I hope you feel better, soon. If you called your doctor and begged for her/him to call in a Flexeril scrip, would you be likely to get it?

LJ is wonky for some of us. Their status page is saying they are working on a database issue.

If I only had a brain...

Ugh. I had an interpersonal problem and asked my manager to talk to the other party, which she did on Wednesday. I came up today and asked how it had gone, and she said "We need to talk", but she can't see me till 1:30. Ugh.
