I know, world in peril and we have to work together. This is my last office romance, I'll tell you that.

Buffy ,'End of Days'

Spike's Bitches 28: For the Safety of Puppies...and Christmas!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Coding and Sleeping

St. Louis is being attacked by the communists? But it's nowhere near the Canadian border.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I had my mother bring me Jamaican teas one of the last times she visited. The down-home ginger stuff is good, and I need to make sure she keeps me in it. The funnest is the cinnamon, but I can't tell if it's caffeinated or not, so I forget to drink it.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Ease-ma of symptoms for Anne and Cass. Calli, I had not read The Grammarian's Daughters. Thank you for linking it. I have sent it to my writing group members and a couple of friends. It's a lovely story.

Compassionately intolerant

HIPAA. That's a damned good point, there. Hmmm.

Just something to think about. Or at least, threaten with.

Your privacy is battered enough in this day and age. Such an egregious violation cries out for an answer. Or, I dunno, a punch in the snoot.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

And you're just the woman to do it!

Mostly lurking...

Can you talk to her (and, hell, everybody) and ask that she notify you about things by email rather than asking someone else to remind you?

Well, in her defense, Friday was her last day before she left for the semester in New Zealand. She was probably cleaning out the desk to make sure she’d taken care of everything and found them. It sounded like she was quite busy on her last day, so it was probably an afterthought.

My library has an online renewal option.

So does ours, but I think not for ILL books.

This is it. ILL books seldomly can be renewed.

Wicked!!! Whee!!!!

Have SO MUCH FUN!

I'm so tired and drained that I could weep.

I bet. {{{Kristin}}}

Thanks so much for all the support today, everyone. I am feeling much better. I got a little done…baby steps…and had therapy, which really helped. And shortly I’m off to play with the cutest little George I know.

Hey. New board.

I'm hungry, but feeling too lazy to make food. I suppose I could just pan-fry a flounder fillet, which should take about 14 seconds (it's very thin).

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Spending as much $$ on an outfit for a doll as I balk at spending on Em is MAD, correct?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Spending as much $$ on an outfit for a doll as I balk at spending on Em is MAD, correct?

Not if it's a magic doll that will give you tomorrow's winning lottery numbers if it has an especially nice dress.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Calli, I had not read The Grammarian's Daughters. Thank you for linking it.
This. It was a lovely read and I have sent it on to a few people who shall appreciate as well.

The tea lady at the farmer's market will be getting a visit from me next Sunday. I shall see if she has ginger. She is where I get the fabulous jasmine green tea that unfurls its leaves into alien tentacles. I need some new varieties to explore.

Well, in her defense, Friday was her last day before she left for the semester in New Zealand. She was probably cleaning out the desk to make sure she’d taken care of everything and found them. It sounded like she was quite busy on her last day, so it was probably an afterthought.
I would accept this. Sucks, but I would probably give her a pass.
HIPAA. That's a damned good point, there. Hmmm.
I would however mention this to the PT. There are things that deserve a pass and things that really just shouldn't happen. Privacy is just that. I can't get medical information shared when I *want* it shared without signing about a brazilian forms. And I damn well prefer that to people just randomly deciding they know better than I and taking things into their own hands.
