Don't you just love this party? Everything's so fancy, and there's some kind of hot cheese over there.

Tep, those shoes do remind me of you lots. I think they deserve to be owned by you.

Right? Because of my flamey mary janes!

And my co-workers can vouch for the fact that I was cruising the Web looking for black kickass shoes all day today.

I'm getting the pig!

Color me naive. I have this annoying habit of assuming the best about people.

Laura, my dear, that's why we love you so much.

And maybe he would not be adverse to a bit of eyeliner as well? What about that dude that borrowed your nawty nurse uniform...

You mean this guy? Yeah. Maybe he'll wear the costume again too. And let's all be clear that he borrowed it for Halloween, m'kay? Hee.

Oh, that reminds me of a call that I am *not* returning today. Also, unlegit.

Story, Cass? C'mon... tell us a story.

Nicole, I *love* those shoes! And.... *I* wear a size 9! And I've been looking for black high-heeled kickass shoes for a while!

Really? Cool! I'll e you in a minute. My computer is being a PITA and I'm in the process of bitch-slapping it. Or fixing it. One or the other. But I should probably end the listing before my computer tries to die on me. I don't want to wait too long and then not be able to end the auction.

And if that wasn't clear - the shoes are totally yours.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

I vote perv

So what's new?

Wally report! Back from a lunch date. I had a great time, very relaxing, easy conversation. She seems to find my impresions of various accents very funny, so that's a good sign. (The laydees are allowed to laugh. Just not to point and laugh.) She was born in Moscow, and still has a (fairly mild) accent. One possible issue: she's 23. She made sure to mock me about my age, so that's ok, but still.

Which reminds me, I owe a phone call to the 20-year old I met speed dating.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

IME, books are only worth the time if they're genre books. Or rare ones, maybe, but I don't have those. I've sold a pair of shoes or two, some dvds, a couple of tsotchkes. Jilli does clothing sometimes, doesn't she?

I think when it comes to clothes/shoes, the amount of wear is what's important. It has to look brand new, even if it isn't.

I'm getting the pig!

Tep - insent!

Sail, that's mighty impressive! Go you!!

Personally, I ebay because I have a horrible habit of buying clothes without trying them on and then I forget to return stuff that doesn't fit to my liking. Or I'm too lazy to return them. The latter is probably more true. Oh, I've also sold things that were given to me as gifts. Plus, I need cash and less belongings.
