You never know if a girl's gonna say 'yes', or if she's gonna laugh in your face and pull out your still-beating heart and crush it into the ground with her heel.

Spike's Bitches 28: For the Safety of Puppies...and Christmas!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"My drink preference does not indicate my sexual preference. "

She's the one with the daughter, only it turns out said daughter has all-over body hair and retractable claws.

your date gave birth to Wolverine?

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

your date gave birth to Wolverine?

Yes. Yes she did.

Our wings are not tired.

Well, just don't spell the kid's name Wolfaryn and it could be a nice lunch date.

I'm in the lull between getting Bobby out the door and having to wake up Brendon. Dog sleeping on on couch, the cat sleeping next to me, DH and son still asleep in their beds. Ah quiet.

More coffee now while I have this 10 minutes to sip in peace.

{{{Kristin}}} I'm so sorry, love. We're here for you.

I just walked Toto. We ran into the beautiful German Shephard that lives down the street. Poor guy was wearing a white cone around his head and had half of his back shaved and in bandages. Poor thing was attacked by a pitbull last week! I just feel so awful for him!

edit: erika, much ~ma for Betsy. Poor thing!

Aimeé, good luck with the apartment hunt.

If I don't move out of the area, I'm hoping to at least move apartments in the next 6 months or so. Some friends live in a small apartment complex, and I'd love to get one of the second floor places there. Two bedrooms, cathedral ceilings, actual storage space--if only they had hardwood floors and decks they'd be perfect.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

vw, if it helps you stop with the looking and pining elsewhere, I must reiterate (or possibly iterate; I can't remember if I said it at all when I was actually there) how utterly charming your present apartment is. The pictures you've posted are very pretty, but even so they do no justice at all to its inherent quirky delight or to the excellent facelift you gave it. If I found a place like yours, I wouldn't move out until they carried me out feet first. Even if it didn't come with you and Emily and Toto and Bastet.

Awwww...thanks, JZ. I love our place. I really, really do. I'd stay here for a very long time IF we could afford to live in it with just me and Emily and Toto and Bastet. We're finding that we don't do well with a third roommate...especially a third roommate with a girlfriend who practically lives here. We're just too old and cranky and set in our ways. So, in starting to think about a two-bedroom (or a MUCH cheaper three-bedroom), I'm starting to dream of dishwashers and laundry in the building.
