I wanna die in bed surrounded by fat grandchildren, but guess that's off the menu.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

What is even happening?

It is. So is LJ, and my procrastination time is almost up.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I'm really dreading going into work this morning and seeing what, if any, fallout there is from my calling out sick in the storm. All of my, I don't care what happens attitude went out the window this morning, and I started crying. Wish me luck.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Good luck!

(and don't forget that they're a bunch of bastards)

sj, take some of my bad attitude, then. Go in, remembering you've never called in before, and have been available whenever they've called you in. It's not like you have an absence problem. You're a reliable employee. You're also a reliable employee with a physical disability. Your reality is different in bad weather. Accepting one unscheduled absence in the time you've worked there doesn't seem outside of the realm of "reasonable accomodation" to me. Would they rather you had lied and said you had a stomach bug? They're being unreasonable. All the best today.

Suzi, I love your tag. Did Nicole originally say it here? Did it already get COMMed?

Suzi's current tag, for posterity: Patience and I are practically strangers. Sure, we've met a few times but we're not close. - Nicole

Yes, Nicole said that here - over a year ago. It is just too perfect for me.

If I only had a brain...

Jilli, my son wants to see some of Pete's cards. Is there a Pete-devoted website anywhere? I couldn't find it on Google.

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

You have to be at work this early, MG? Wow.

I thought I was going to go to bed early. Instead I went to bed at least 2 hours late. This is happening far too often. Lack of sleep, Aunt Flo decided to visit...at least it's Friday and my new electric guitar is slated to arrive via FedEx today.

Actually, I'm overjoyed it's Friday. Although Monday was a holiday and I was sicked out on Wednesday, this week has seemed interminable.

I typically work 6 to 2:30, so I'm home when the kids get out of school. When I need to put in OT, I come in at 5.

Aunt Flo - *heeee*, I haven't heard that term in a long time. Though am all to familiar with her presence right now.

I need more tea.
