[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Well, thank you people. I have so far celebrated by watching the distinctly depressing Lantana. I think I'm doing this wrong.

Now tagless for your comfort.

vw, have a lot of fun at your NYE party.

We've opted to not go out since my in-laws are bringing Owen back today thus ending our three days of free babysitting. But it will be nice to have the boy back and we can cuddle up on the sofa watching all the fun stuff on TV.

Happy New Year, bt!

All is well that ends in pizza.

Happy Hogmanay!

Happy New Year, bt! Still a little over 5 hours to go for me, Fay, and Nilly.

Love on juliana for me, Perkins! And cool bag! I still lust for this one also: [link]

We aren't doing anything either...in fact, we probably won't even stay up until midnight. I tend to observe New Year's on the solstice, and Mallory woke up screaming every two hours last night so nobody got enough sleep.

Cash, you sure you're ready for a newborn again? This up-every-two-hours crap is the suxxor.

Plei, Lilybean kilt me ded! What a cutey! I love the "smuggling" photo.

Heh. I'm pretty much preparing for it right now. My sleeping hours are CRAXY with the peeing and the sciatica and the acid reflux. Nature is a wonderful thing and very prescient about this stuff.

I try to remind myself that the sleep stuff is so very cyclical with babies. Owen started sleeping 7 hours at a time around 10 weeks and then only woke up once or twice until he was about 9 months old. Then when he turned a year, it was just once a night, usually in the wee morning hours. I think he's plateaued at 11 hours now (THANKFULLY!) with one short, afternoon nap. So knowing there is a light at the end of the tunnel is always easier.

BTW, I showed DH the flickr pictures of Mal and he said, "Whoa, that is one smiley baby! And those are some AWESOME cheeks!"

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Buffista babies are all gorgeous, handsome, achingly huggable, and incredibly smart. Lily's smuggling picture done broke me, too.

Just checking in to wish juliana happy landings and a swift acclimation to her new milieu, and in addition to everyone else, a wonderfully Happy New Year!

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Juliana is safely in the air, after getting bumped to a slightly later but direct flight. Because of the bad storm in the area, it's delayed, but not too much.

Whoa, that is one smiley baby!

Yeah, I don't know how he figured it, but whenever the camera comes out now, he smiles and poses. And if the pre-flash blinks, he squints against the flash. Then, after one photo, he sprints for the camera.

We will never have any candid shots of him.

Off to bike and do push-ups.

What is even happening?

Direct flight is better. Do you know what time she's due in, Perkins?

12:30, give or take a few minutes.
