Spike's Bitches 28: For the Safety of Puppies...and Christmas!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Is Yankee Swap when each person takes a number and then everyone picks a present in order and some stealing of presents can take place? I've done that a million times but I never knew it had a name. I love this board.

Yep that's it. No idea about the origins of the name (and too lazy to Google).

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I need a new vacuum. I want a bagless that's under $200. Any recommendations??

I have a Bissell turbo something or other, and I think a few others here do too. About a $100 and it rocks.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Personal bubble, learn it, live it, love it, kthxbye.
So. Much. This.

Just got a message from my dad to call him back as soon as I got the message. This is not good. Dad doesn't call me except for my birthday or medical situations. I called him right back as my birthday is in June, so this was obviously the latter.

Not a whole lot of new news on grandma. They really suspect cancer instead of just a beneign tumor on her pelvis, but don't have specifics. It just doesn't sound good though.

But I did tell him that my invisible friends were sending out white light and prayers, and he thought that was a good thing. (I think I just outed myself as a Buffista without telling him the name of the group.)

I read before posting but my brain forgot all of it. I will go back, reread and then see if I had anything else to say.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Cass, my grandfather's multiple myeloma was on his pelvis as well as his ribs. Ask if they have thought about/have done a bone scan, if it looks lke they are having a hard time figuring it out.
