That is freaking adorable.
'Just Rewards (2)'
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Kansas City is pretty sucky when it comes to public transit as well. The state line running through the metro doesn't help either.
It used to have a great streetcar system when my Dad grew up there. We have a few old KC cars on the vintage San Francisco F-line.
Oh, and also, getting my hair cut into a sassy angled bob this afternoon.
Sweet!
MG, do be sure to let all manager types know that you are not happy with (a) the results and (b) how it was communicated to you. You're a top performer in their eyes (or they wouldn't be making exceptions to you on the pay scale). It may not make a difference now, but down the line your dissatisfaction will be something they're conscious of. Trust me - managers talk about this stuff, and they know they can't afford to lose you.
Fay, air popped popcorn tastes like packing peanuts. It's bleah.
Paycheck update:
Turns out, my paycheck is the same as it was last time;Large chunk into checking, small chunk into savings, smaller chunk into closed savings. Bonus check, however, was all deposited into the closed savings.
However, the problem is now that the pay date got effed up. Where it was supposed to be 12/29/05, since we're closed tomorrow, it now says 12/31/05 which could potentially mean that we don't get any money until Monday, provided the banks aren't on holiday.
Mal has kilt me ded.
Hmm. Must put Christmas pictures up.
So, parents, when does this "getting used to daycare" bit start? This is Week Three, and things are getting worse, not better. That's normal, right? RIGHT??? The storm before the calm??? RIGHT?!?
Also, good call getting pictures of Robert before he started writing on the cat's ears. What does he look like now?

You can still see the old tracks in some places around town. There have been several attempts to put in light rail, but the big problem is that the land area is so large that any light rail that can be put in won't be useful for most of the city so it's hard to justify the cost.
I hope your mother recovers quickly, Spidra.
MG, I'm glad you're getting the raise, anyway. Wasn't it a contract supervisor who was being obstructionist? Now that s/he's out of the way, maybe the promotion part will happen more smoothly.
Fay, popcorn made in a pan with olive oil is pretty healthy, as far as yummy, crunchy, salty snack food goes.
I, too, would love to live in a place where I wouldn't need a car. Especially since I've been trying to get two days worth of work done today so I can take my car in and get the mystery noise and vibration (no, not the fun kind) fixed tomorrow. Luckily, someone further up the production chain seems to be late with her work, so there's a chunk I won't need to deal with until next Tuesday.

Getting worse how? For you or the Bean? Or both?

Well, using the moo machine still is lame, but other than that, I'm fine.
No, it's not me. It's her. Lillian backslid on eating, and now freaks right out when we leave. Then, when I get home, I am not allowed to leave her sight, lest I vanish into the aether again for 9 or so hours.
As I'm fond of things like the bathroom and dinner, I'm hoping that this is just a stage she'll grow out of before too long.
Also, good call getting pictures of Robert before he started writing on the cat's ears. What does he look like now?
Ha. You think we have a real cat, and not a needy throw pillow. It was a couple minutes before Legion even shook his head to get his ears back in place. And when I took that photo a few minutes later, he hadn't moved a paw. He probably figured it was a fair trade for not having to get his paw inked for pawprints on gift tags.
What's up with Lily? I have no info about daycare, but don't like thinking about the Squeak unhappy.
