Spike's Bitches 28: For the Safety of Puppies...and Christmas!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

Goose Bay

Only 53° 21' North. Edmondton, Dublin, Sheffield, and Hamburg are at about the same latitude.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I've been in Dublin. Goose Bay's a lot colder.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Oh, Daniel. 2006 is going to owe you some good karma. otoh, I'd agree with the others - all the more reason to speak to the debt management people to help you get your head above water.

I gotta get the Man-Pony image out of my head. On top of the dreams I've been having (different bf every night, when IRL I'm NGA) I'm feeling a little strange

Honey, don't knock these dreams! I'm NGA in any state of consciousness. 'sides, dream sex is at least safe sex.

Santa must have been pissed at me for not leaving cookies out, because I got a nasty cold for xmas. I've been acting pitiful and hanging out on the couch with a pile of books -- probably not all that different than what I would have done with my days off if I were well, actually. Tomorrow my sister and family arrive -- it would be nice if we could have a day, or a good part of a day, without rain while the kids are here.

Meanwhile, I hope all is well with everyone!

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Just got this email from HR

Aimee – I have a name and number at our bank and will call them first thing in the morning. (I get in around 7am and will call then.) We should be able to get it straightened out so you will receive by Friday morning. If not or if you need the money sooner than that, we can issue a manual check tomorrow. Will this work?

I guess it'll have to, won't it?

Well, at least they're giving you something concrete in their promises, rather than being all handwavey. Still of the suck, like, but it sounds like there's going to be money.

juliana - just read about your stuff. All my punctuation are belong to you.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

It sounds like she is trying. I know getting something like that fixed within a big corporation can be a PIA and take longer than if feels it should. I don't know the size of your company, so your PIA may vary.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Roger Wilco. Filling out their forms tonight, so I don't have any surprises tomorrow.

Turns out they don't yet have everything online (They're non-profit, so...) so basically I just transfer all my info to a worksheet to tell them during the phone convo.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Heh. PIA. Heh.

(Former colleague was called Pia. Mad as a bag of frogs, and painfully incapable of being the mother her kids needed - the sparkly & needy big sister they didn't need, yes, but the mother they needed? Not so much. Sweet woman, very annoying; arguably the only person of whom I would say "she needs a good man", because she sure as hell isn't capable of being Captain of their little ship, and somebody ought to be making sensible decisions for her family. And lots of men would undoubtedly dote on her - she's a charming, pretty wee flibbertigibbit of a posh bit of stuff. And a PIA in many ways. I wish her well, and I'm glad I no longer work with her.)
