Looks like civilization finally caught up with us.

Spike's Bitches 28: For the Safety of Puppies...and Christmas!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Absolutely charming house, Kristin.

Karl, here's another bit of your wish to us come true: I heard from my mother, who is living in a quite decent "senior" trailer park, in a quite decent mobile home. This was very good news after spending the day worrying about her being inadequately protected from winter weather, as my sister had told me mom was living in a camper. Naturally, Mom had not bothered to inform either of us of her real whereabouts after her house had been foreclosed on.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Go Hec with the good deed doing!

It made me very cheery. It was more fun helping a brit for some reason. Extra charming in her super polite thankfulness.

We're back from JZ's Aunt Judy's house, where JZ's mom was too sick to attend (102 fever). Also, too rainy to go visit Aunt Judy's horse. Emmett reached some now positive plateau of socialization as he was well behaved in a relaxed, but not particularly kid focused event. In fact, he was the only kid. But JZ's brother Chris was there, and Emmett likes him. And Emmett built a Parthenon with Jenga blocks and played with his new Teen Titan toys and we played cards afterwards. Social obligation fulfilled without trauma! Check.

Tomorrow we finish the gauntlet with the very pleasant prospect of brunch with the good friends/godparents. That will be fun for all.

Kristin's Aunt and Uncle's house looks very fun and playful and beautiful. I need more gates, I think. Or places to put them.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

I need more color in my house. And actually - I really love how calm the guest room felt.

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

Beth, I always seek inspiration for decorating from their place. It's so fantastic.

In meme news, I am awake. I need to go to sleep. Grr. I had insomnia last night and took a nap this afternoon and am irritated with myself for doing so. Sleep. Need sleep. Want sleep.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Billytea, my love, you sound like a man who needs a hug. And a stiff drink. And possibly a matter transporter. And a trip to the zoo. And maybe a pony.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

Had one of those dreams where everyone behaves differently than they do in real life - even me. And I was going to be left sad and alone in a strange house. Wakeing up was a relief, but I still gotta shake off the aftereffects.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I have never been called in for an on call shift before. Dave thought that meant there was a high probability I wouldn't get called in today. I said I was due to get called in. I was right. Gronk.

I'm getting the pig!

I was right.

I'm sorry you have to work today, sj. I was so hoping you'd be off the hook until after the new year rolled in. I'll be thinking of you while I'm out shopping and being extremely kind to all of the mall employees I come in contact with.

{{{All the Bitches that had to deal with icky moments yesterday.}}}

It was a wonderful day (and evening) for me yesterday. I have absolutely no complaints and I'm grateful, like whoa, for the good day.

((sj))

That sucks, love.

In other news - Christmas Pudding is STILL really really delicious. No change since yesterday, then. Mmmmm.
