Spike's Bitches 28: For the Safety of Puppies...and Christmas!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I just got my phone.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Speaking of desks, Ikea just delivered all the furniture for my new office. Yahoo! I gotta see if I can get our handyman in here to put it together sometime this weekend. I also have to find someone to put a door on the room. It's a lot harder than you might expect to get an interior door installed. Everyone at the door places I have called wants me to measure it myself and I DON"T KNOW HOW. I mean, I know how to measure, but do I measure opening or door inself or floor to inside of jamb or what? I am flummoxed. I am going to get a cool door with a glass insert, so that comforts me when I get frustrated.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

I have more phones than I need. Y'all can have them, especially if you take the calls as well.

Ok. I got a snow mug, special holiday m&ms, and a little "humbug" book. I spent WAY more than I should have, but whatever.

Sparky, you can't have my desk. Sorry.

Sparky, you can't have my desk. Sorry.

I really just want to re-do mine, maybe replacing the phone with a box of chocolate about the same size.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

I can print you a badge and tell you where the breakout sessions are.

I hate appearing to be the go to person when I have no power and no knowledge.

Well, just print a badge that says "Not the 'GO-TO' Person" and you're solid.

Just got an e-mail from the prof I tutored for this semester. Both students I tutored let her know how extremely helpful I was. That made me feel a little better. We're going to try to plan better next semester, which will be good. I think we're going to cut off students registering for tutoring four weeks before the end of the semester. That will allow me to really be able to help them with their papers and avoid this end-of-the-semester crunch that we had this semester.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Sounds like a good solution, vw.

Today I can't seem to type, keep slipping in random letters that neither belong in the words I am typing nor yet are placed on the keyboard anywhere near the right letters. And it isn't a case of my fingers deciding to type actual words that just happen not to be the words I was planning to write. That happens sometimes, and I often wonder what exactly the message would be if left unchecked. Maybe I should get sloshed sometime and just start typing to see what comes of it.

I was planning to take a poll about whether I should spend the last couple hours before work napping or reading. I think I just answered my own question, though. G'nite.

Plei, how is the Squeak?

Feeling better. I'm hoping she actually eats something today--she seemed happy enough with the toys when we dropped her off, but I anticipate a sad, wilted Lily when I get home.
