You know what the chain of command is? It's the chain I go get and beat you with until you understand who's in ruttin' command here.

Spike's Bitches 28: For the Safety of Puppies...and Christmas!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Oh, that's fun Gud! I managed to cut the deficit by billions just by lowering military spending and cutting corporate tax cuts. And I even managed to bump education, science, and health up a bit at the same time.

Y'all should totally vote for me.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Teppy, how is Big Boss! How's his arm?

He looks SO good. Bear in mind he's 74, and by all rights he should have died, you know? People half his age frequently die from flesh-eating bacteria infections. When he first got back to Cincy in May-June, he was thin as a bone, very jaundiced, and confined to bed.

He still tires easily, but he's walking with a cane, he's no longer jaundiced, he's regained most of the weight, and he's as energetic as it's possible to be, I suppose. He doesn't have a prosthetic arm yet, and in fact, I don't know if he's going to get one. I haven't heard.

Man. I could not be happier right now.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

It was shipped by this guy named Lot. Don't go back to the site.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Yay for Teppy's Big!Boss!

OMG, these guys are taking forever. We're going on 4 hours now....

I'm glad to hear that your boss is doing well, Steph.

Hmmm. I just headed off a major scheduling problem at work. (A mixture of crossed signals, holiday leave, and coworkers juggling babies, full-time work, and law school.) And no one's particularly pissed off. And, aside from the heading off conversations, I didn't end up having to do extra work. I should totally be in management of some sort.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Man, walking with a cane has got to be a beeeeee-yotch when you only have one arm.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

it would only be people who paid taxes who would get to "vote"

Since I can't vote-vote, can I keep all my income, then?

Steph, that's great. Really great.

I'm getting the pig!

Good to hear that Big Boss is doing so well, Steph. Hard to imagine all that he's been through. Yeesh.

I think I'll attempt a trip to Super Target after work today. That way I can pick up the stuff for fudge and the wrappings for gifts at the same time. If I survive (big IF), then it's off to my house to feed the cat, get the dog in the car and head over to my home for the next couple of nights (house/dog sitting until Saturday morning).

Continued coping~ma to Juliana.
