Zoe: Captain will come up with a plan. Kaylee: That's good. Right? Zoe: Possibly you're not recalling some of his previous plans.

Henh. I got an invitation to interview for DoDD schools. Which tickles me. I know they have special recruitment categories that I don't normally fit and then special recruitment. I fall under special recruitment, I guess.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

DoDD?

My summer job wants to charge (as part of my housing) a $6.25 fee per day for each pet. NON-REFUNDABLE. Is this a common thing? I'm fine with the standard (refundable) deposit, but this is absurd. Keep in mind that the cheapest housing available (4 small bedrooms w/ a shared bath in a non-insulated cabin) is $6.75 per day for a person.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Non-refundable deposits for an apartment I've seen, but that's kind of extreme. And having just done the math in my head, by extreme I mean insane.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

That's pretty much insano, yes.

It's supposed to be 60 here today. On Monday, the weather channel is predicting we'll see 16. I'm experiencing cold-shock in advance.

Also my cat is insisting on rubbies in the most adorable way, and then laying there purring loudly with just the tip of his pink tongue showing. And if I stop, quick grabbing my hand with his paws to let me know that I haven't fulfilled his needs.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

A cat would have to keep pretty busy to do $6.25 worth of damage in the average day - especially considering that they're asleep for 20 hours of it.

What do you think, aurelia, are they up to the challenge?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I was nursing a migraine, Allyson. Can I still help?

Welcome back to your home, Jesse.

I'd love to have the flexibility to try this.

My TiVo didn't know last night's Atlantis was new. Massively irritating.
