What is even happening?

Of course, it won't actually mean more money for me, I think, since it'll just replace my loans for the semester, but still! Woohoo!
It just won't mean more money for you now. It will mean more money for you, when the loans come due.

So I'm supposed to ("It is also appropriate for you to") write letters of acknowledgment. What do I say? "Hey, thanks for the cash! I guess you like my sense of humor. Math and I are so happy that you have such faith in our relationship! I know Computer Science and I didn't work out, but I've learned from that experience and Math and I are really committed to each other."

I think you'd qualify for a Buffista scholarship, if you sent any of these, however, the Buffista scholarship will get you a free account at buffistas.org, so...well...yeah.

Congrats on your scholarships, Emily!

"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

Emily, that's $5,000 less you'll have to repay, so definitely Woohoo!!

Yeah, although in the scheme of things, I'll owe money until I die anyway, so it's an almost insignificant amount of my debt, and I'd sort of prefer extra money to live on. But it's still a total woohoo.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

congrats Emily! Avoiding debt is always good, and acknowledgement of your general awesomeness is also very very good.

"We have trust issues." Mylar

Why the hell is it wearing a dress?

I thought it was wearing overalls. Not that that's any less creepy. But you know. Maybe it had been working hard in the garden and it was tired. Thus the need to catch a nap with the cat on the couch.

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

The "Italian" pizza I got for lunch has lemon on it. And rosemary, but mostly I'm weirded out by the lemon. My brain keeps going back and forth between "mmm, pizza!" and "lemon pizza? WTF?"

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Go, Emily, you smart thing!

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Just imagine Raoul Bova explaining for like 15 minutes how his family puts lemons in their bottles of lemon soda in Under the Tuscan Sun.
