See, you are still vacationing.
polenta!polenta!polenta!polenta!
Um, sorry. A week ago, I was trying to remember that word. My brain decided to remember today, along with the Year of Living Dangerously, which I can never get the title for when I'm actually talking about it.
I really don't get memory.
Hello Sue. This weekend I am gonna go through your CD list. And if Lee is around, I am making her CDs.
Then I should finish going through yours!
Monkey Monkey Monkey.
To which I counter, Monkey Noodle Bar:
Citizen Thai & Monkey Noodle Bar: The decor in these two adjoining restaurants, from the owners of SoMa's Koh Samui and the Monkey, is reminiscent of a Buddhist temple, with high ceilings and fat and skinny Buddhas everywhere. In the upscale Citizen Thai, which spans two floors, the cooks mix classic preparations with updated ingredients. Small plate entrees offer plenty of variety. In the upstairs Monkey Noodle Bar, communal tables are set up canteen style for a quick and cheap bite of Thai street food. Choose from noodles pan-fried or in soup, rice plates and nibbles like green papaya salad. 1268 Grant Avenue (at Vallejo), (415) 364-0008. (Chronicle Review)
Just two blocks from Julianna's new place.
Woo hoo! Juliana stalking time! (dude, maybe edit that?)
The Monkey Noodle Bar sounds like a fantabulous place.
Yay for msbelle and Florida and vacationing. 'tis a good thing.
It is so sad that I no longer know anything about anything going on on General Hospital. I should work from home more often in order to catch up. Actually, Monkey Noodle Bar would fit in nicely in Port Charles. They need something other than the diner.
So I got some mail today from the Scholarship Office, with two sheets of paper, viz. "Congratulations! You have been named a recipient of the [Blah] scholarship. ... in the amount of $500...." Yay! Second sheet of paper: "Congratulations! You have been named a recipient of the [Blah] scholarship. ... in the amount of $4500...." Aieee! Rock on! Of course, it won't actually mean more money for me, I think, since it'll just replace my loans for the semester, but still! Woohoo!
So I'm supposed to ("It is also appropriate for you to") write letters of acknowledgment. What do I say? "Hey, thanks for the cash! I guess you like my sense of humor. Math and I are so happy that you have such faith in our relationship! I know Computer Science and I didn't work out, but I've learned from that experience and Math and I are really committed to each other."
