"The fact that they looked it up in a book just shows that they don't get the idea of truthiness at all," Colbert said Thursday. "You don't look up truthiness in a book, you look it up in your gut."
Oh I
t heart
this.
And to make it all Buffista related, I interviewed Michael Adams about Slayer Slang, the book erinaceous edited for OUP.
This is one of those referential-loop days. I don't know if I can explain what I mean by that, but I just referred (without an outright reference) to
Slayer Slang,
in an LJ entry I may or may not actually publish. I left it marked "private" while I think about it for a while. It's about fandom, and I was prompted to write it in response to an article by willa at Popgurls, but it ended up being about when I consider myself in fandom, and a lot of the subtext has to do with a conversation I saw at this board, but didn't bother entering.
skipped 1000 posts. WHEE!

Oh! Can you imagine that one of the students told me I was getting nicer (apparently it'd been a topic of discussion). What was she thinking? They're going to pay for
weeks,
at the very least. Nice krav instructors. What next?
From what I hear, it's doing better than the middle part of the country. Where are you?
What was she thinking?
Obviously not!
You all nicely vacationed, msbelle?
one of the students told me I was getting nicer
That poor, poor, misguided child.
