We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

The Pentagon has a program to help teach Military families to laugh.

For some reason, this reminds me of the Daily Show bit about Germany's ad campaign to make Germans happier. As Jon Stewart said, "When Germany gets happy, they get a bit grabby" as the headline from a London newspaper dated September 1, 1939 appears over his shoulder.

hip deep in pie

We have sun and above freezing temperatures. If it wasn't for the sun, I'd think I was in Vancouver again!

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

I spoke about 5 minutes too soon. It's now snowing here, too.

If it wasn't for the sun, I'd think I was in Vancouver again!

I've heard of this 'sun' thing. What's that like? We've reached day 26 of rain. The record for most consecutive days of rain was set in 1953, at 28 days. The radio informs me that it might not rain on day 28. And as much as I'm stick of the rain, it had better rain up until day 29 because we did not go through all this rain and then not even get a record out of it!!

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

It's 60 here and what's predicted to be a severe thunderstorm with high winds is just starting. It's supposed to be 35 by the morning and snow flurries are possible on Sunday. Weird, weird weather.
