"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

Raise! This means I don't have to consider the job that would pay more but would involve 55-hour weeks plus two hours of commuting!

YAY. I've finally stopped working crazy amounts of overtime, and if you started, I probably would cry. YAY.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Now I just have to figure out what to wear...

Maybe this is the question that "handcuffs" is the answer to...

Congrats to both the fleas and dana. Good to have some good news.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Perfect! Exactly what I'm going for. Now I just have to figure out what to wear...

well, that depends on where you want the evening to end -- at the door or in his bed?

at the door -- pants in bed -- skirt, no pantyhose. or stockings with garters.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I have to say I love you guys right now. You make me want to go on a date, but also relieved that it's not in the cards. All these rules and signals!

Hollywood waist: high, often above the natural waistline, no waistband or belt loops or anything, usually a little shaped with darts.

A lot of the google/google image hits aren't really Hollywood waists - it should be fairly high, which might make it hard to find in this low-rider era.

Coding and Sleeping

Every time I take my 2000 V6 Jetta into the shop I rent a car for the day. The Beetles don't interest me. The 2006 Jettas actively irritate me. The 2006 Passats leave me cold. The rental guys try to talk the cars up to me, but when I tell them what I drive normally they shrug. The last thing to try is a Tuareg--I have a no-extra-charge rental of one of those due me. But I don't want an SUV.

Ever tried a Mazda6? I've been in one but never driven one, however I hear they are supposed to handle very nicely.

I know that waist. And damn if I don't love that waist.

I also love that jacket, but know it'd never get worn except over a dress, which I wear reasonably rarely.

Which reminds me -- I do have one that I need to wear more. A bright green gogo dress (thanks to meara). I have the perfect white hooker gogo boots for it, but there's no reason it can't be dressed down and worn with black.

This is the year that things go *right*, damnit.

I thought you would love that waist. Okay, it's a little freaky that I know your taste in clothes that well, never having seen you in person. But you definitely have a favored silhouette.
