Punishingly Intricate

Write the shit out of that thing, Allyson!!! And I concur with the calling out sick. Everybody gets sick after being on vacation, right? From the bad airplane air?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

it had every thrilling thing I wanted out of a book, except for the sad lack of swordfights, archery contests and talking lions.

New SciFi Channel Saturday night movie - Coelemanth! A genetically-engineered combination of human/coelecanth DNA. It swordfights Mansquito.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I read that coelecanth book. In fourth grade. In your face, Reading Wife!

Allyson, it's probably okay if you don't have the completed manuscript completely done in two days. It's not going to press, you know? They just want to see what the book would look like.

I mean, you should try and finish as much as you can, but finishing a whole book in two days is not going to allow you to polish your prose much. It's better to turn in Most Of A Book that's well written.

Trust me, publishers are always dealing with late writers. If they're not waiting for it at the printer, you've always got a little leeway.

Hmm. A large portion of the visual processing center of the brain is devoted to recognizing human faces. Apparantly that part of the brain doesn't like it when you fuck with it.
