Dude, I got bit by a cleaning bug. It's a wee bit early for spring cleaning, but I went on a tear today. I am not sure the last time things were this clean: vaccumed, dusted, scrubbed floors, did laundry, put away storage, cleaned out a closet, bagged up some stuff to get rid of, and just put away tons of stuff laying about. YAY clean house.

Sorry, from what I overheard from the sports people in my life the Bengals had a very nice season.
I could stand to scrub floors. But I've vacuumed, done laundry, scrubbed the bathroom, and finally had myself a hot meal today.
And learnt that my smoke alarm isn't worth shit, because there were plumes of smoke, enough to make my eyes and throat sting from the bacon I burnt. Not a peep out of the detector, though.

They did -- AND it's been so long since the Bengals have done well that we just needed to see it keep going.
Oh, I need to re-hang my smoke detector.
Why are bowl games called bowl games?
I have dusted, vacuumed, done laundry, gone grocery shopping, picked up pet food and litter, and helped prune and tidy the front yard. I plan to spend the evening watching TV and vegging out.
A Jamaican place I haven't been to?
Have you been to the one on La Tijera and Sepulveda? (Near Magic Johnson's Franchise Empire.) I think it's called Derrick's or something.
In other news, they are opening up a Peet's on the ground floor of the building on my corner. I'm pissed. I see a lot of detouring up the hill in my future.
It was my understanding that they called them bowl games because of the shape of the stadium.
The injury of your QB at the beginning of the game was quite a blow. Still a season they can be proud of, unlike say the Dolphins.
bowl games
Yeah, I think it started with the Rose Bowl. It was the name of the stadium and then became the name of the game, then other "bowls" were built and post-season college games were all called bowls.
