I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

oh, and as for skating, I do best on old quad roller skates as my ankles hate blades and ice skates. My muscles are not strong enough to keep my ankle upright.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Like, can you ride a bike? Do a cartwheel? Catch, throw, hit a ball? Jump rope?

Yes, poorly.

Yes, but not as well as when I was 40lbs lighter.

Only if I'm lucky.

Yes, poorly.

Only if I'm lucky.

Yes, with occasional tangles.

Signed, uncoordinated as heck.

Oh, and I can skate both types, poorly.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

>Like, can you ride a bike?

I learned late (eighth grade) and do not like to ride in traffic

Do a cartwheel?

Never could learn. I did one, once, when a very patient, athletic friend decided I should try and pass the gymnatic unit in gym

Catch, throw, hit a ball?

Yes. Not well

Jump rope?

Yes

>Skate?

Roller, not ice>

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I can skate, but can't stop. When we lived near the Ottawa river, I was much better. Moving to Jamaica cured me of that.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I can catch better now than I ever have been able to in my life. I was a grownup before I really figured out how to not close my eyes when something was thrown at me.

Robin, that was a great article. I especially liked this:

As part of Poe's award, Staff Care will provide a temporary paid physician to take over her practice for two weeks to give her a break.

But I wonder how many people will actually go in during those two weeks!

Me too! But I still suck.

Seth Green's appearance is asking me to watch the View! YAY Seth. Ohmigod he's so fucking adorable.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

I can and do ride a bike, and have memories of being able to cartwheel. I played tee-ball at about age 8, so I must have been able to do some fielding/throwing (though, what with the tee, I never learned to hit worth a damn), but I haven't tried at all since then. In the third grade, we used to do complicated jump-rope moves at recess, but I think I was one of the rope-holders rather than a jumper.

I took ice-skating lessons for 2+ years, but recently discovered that it's something you have to do regularly to keep the knack. My boss took us out on the frog pond on Boston Common, which is a skating rink in winter, and we all rented skates (can you tell this was a required activity?). Two coworkers were completely out of their depth, and did nothing but clutch the wall. Two others began at the wall and slowly became able to move properly. One coworker, who comes from Idaho and had never been on ice skates in his life, never got over the "I am about to fall" half-squat posture, but was able to move under his own power pretty quickly.

I tried to do moves I had probably last done at age 11, and realized that skates are really heavy, and rely on strong foot muscles, and my balance was never that good to begin with.

A couple of years ago, I actually Played Catch for the first time in my life, and it was so fun!

Swouncing

Any other skill I didn't mention?

Can you play any instrument? Hold a tune when singing?

Me, I'm not even here, I just ran back to the computer to post before I leave it, since I won't have access until then, that according to the Buffista Calendar, Saturday, the 7th, will be Miracleman's birthday. Early wishes to him!

Have good rest-of-the-week and great weekends, everybody!

hip deep in pie

My best friend's dad threatened to throw me in their pool if I hadn't learned to swim my the end of the summer. So I learned ot swim.

I don't mind swimming in deep water, but I would never dive into it. And diving in pools is worse for me, I guess I find it more disorienting.

yes. used to. all but hit, but none very well. yes. yes.
