I'm pretty sure (confirm with msbelle) that you can tell them not to cheer ahead of time, and they won't.
yes, it is true, you can. I believe they refer to it as a silent tip. I threatened no tip if there was singing or cheering. If you go to a fairly empty coldstone and make this request, I believe you can escape with yummy ice cream and no trauma.
And, there's a Cold Stone very near your house (Halsted & Cornelia-ish).
Oh, I didn't know about that one. There's one on Diversey, too.
Timelies all!
Not sure exactly what I'm doing this weekend but some part of it will involve books. I'm going to finally go to the local used book store and sell the bag 'o books I've had around since before we moved. Also, I will go to the library.Mmmm, books.
They should sing if you don't tip. I'm sure they could get more money that way.
I'm glad Nora is okay. Also glad that ita's annoying-test-of-the-day is finished. I have one more class to grade and then I'm done!
I'm glad Nora's okay. Safe trip home, Tom.
My friend's are not going to make it in to town tonight b/a of the weather. It sucks, because I haven't seen them since September. I don't know if I feel like going to the movie by myself, either, but I have to decide soon.
Now I want Cold Stone too. They have never sung for me when I tip so I had no idea that I was narrowly escaping torture.
Someone just sent me a link to this house that's a few blocks from mine, $450K. I swear, houses on that street were 1/3 that price five years ago.

::makes dubious face::
Feh. I want to leave and to to the movies but there are work things that have to be done first.
