If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I think the media's role in this matters less, but is also less excusable. I can see how a guy on the ground hears what he thinks is miraculous news and races to tell the families ASAP. But where, precisely, did the newspapers get confirmation of this before running with the story? It's bizarre.

But for the families waiting in the church, I can't see that they give a shit what the major media is saying - they've got bigger things to think about.

Aimee, do you and Joe each have a pre-made playlist on the Batputer, in iTunes?

If so, you hook the Nano up to the Batputer, open iTunes (if it doesn't already open automatically), and then within iTunes, you select the Nano (as if you were selecting a CD, for instance). When the Nano's list of songs appears, delete them all. Then select your playlist and drag it to the icon of the Nano.

Bush could bypass new torture ban Waiver right is reserved

What is it with the Bush administration? Even if you think the law doesn't apply to you, at least keep that to yourself. Aren't they supposed to have some good PR people?

That mining accident situation is just tragic all around. I haven't heard about how the bad information originated.

Did my instructions make sense, then?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I haven't heard about how the bad information originated.

Someone overheard a rescuer's cell call - the rescuer was talking about finding the 12 miners, but made no mention as to their condition.

edit for dumb spelling

I gotta say, the piece NPR had this morning was evil. They start out with "oh good news" for a good couple sentences then "But NO." I dunno, maybe it was just because I was waking up and so I process slowly, but it tasted tacky to me.

I need to go thank a friend for a present she left on my desk. And ask her for something. Which also seems tacky because I haven't really talked to her in months and didn't go to her NY's party. I'm not avoiding her, I've just been a bad friendlike person locally for the past couple of months. Trying to not make it "Hi! Thank you! Missed you! And by the way, could you do this for me? Thanksbye!"
