information libertarian

Pao Lim is the best we know anywhere nearby. It's sort of pan-Asian, not super-Thai but at least the food is good and not gummy.

Best Thai Ever: Thai Express, in Steph's hood in Cinti. Wah.

I love it when people send me requests for stuff completely outside of my department and purview. Especially when they request an "ESTIMATE" and specify "(that means how much)".

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

I do love Pao Lim, but I tend to think of it as, yeah, more pan-Asian. Still, extreme yum.

"The fact that we live at the bottom of a deep gravity well, on the surface of a gas covered planet going around a nuclear fireball 90 million miles away and think this to be normal is obviously some indication of how skewed our perspective tends to be."

Well crap. I'm back in the office after an hour-long attempt to drive approximately two miles back home.

I was supposed to meet Nora at the MBTA stop in Salem at 3:45 and she is not picking up her cell phone.

Sorry, flea. Most of the local restaurants I know are on the RTP side of town. But if that's not too far there's a nice Korean place in RTP--Chosun Ok--that had some kids in it the last time I went. The service is pretty slow, but gracious. And the food's terrific.

Oh mega-crap:

"Outbound Newburyport train #175 (3:15 PM) is involved in a train vs. car accident and is currently approximately 45 minutes late."

Yes, that is the train Nora is on.

Oh jeez! Crossing every available digit that Nora is unharmed.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Oh dear. I hope you don't come home to find a Noracicle on your doorstep!

I've been somewhat amused to see cars getting stuck on my street. Except when they skid a little too close to my new car. Which they really shouldn't, because the city shut the bridge two houses down off, so they shouldn't even be on my little piece of unplowed street....

ION, I have blueberry muffins baking in my oven. From the extraordinary Duncan Hines mix. Soon there will be yumminess.
