No. And yes. It's always sudden.

Well, you've earned it, what with leaving work so late.

What cake are you maybe going to bake?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

::sigh::

I've had this headache since Friday. I don't know how to make it go away.

To do today: buy flowers, go to stretch class, make banana bread. I think there was something else, but I'm blanking.

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

I hope beth and ita feel better soon.

I'm off today but I volunteered to do work/trade at Down Home so I've got to be there by 10 (which is an improvement on my 8:30 start time for work). I wish I didn't have anything to do after that, but I have a therapy appointment so I likely won't be free 'til 7:30pm. But it's all better than being at work today. I can't remember whether it was here or DWS where someone mentioned that 11 days off had really clarified them on the fact that they *had* to get a new job. I feel that way.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Is this a holiday for anyone else in Buffistaland?

I'm off today. Emmett will be dropped off mid morning and we'll go see Harry Potter at the theater one last time. (It's still at the IMAX.) It's very rainy here.

Also, I too have fallen for HypnoSue's suggestion and will make oatmeal for breakfast.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Strange but true: I'm fairly sure that I can't drink the British tap water (that I spent 30 years drinking) anymore. I've had, ah, tummy issues since being back here.

In Egypt I just drink bottled water. Seems that's what my system is now used to. Still, at least it's not used to perrier, I suppose. Or champagne.

sigh

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Is this a holiday for anyone else in Buffistaland?

Last day of precious, precious vacation. I should actually spend it well. Hmm...

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Jesse, my folks used to love taking the Staten Island Ferry and driving around looking at the Mafia mansions. There is also an Old Sailor's Home turned Arts center caled Snug Harbor. Check it out: [link]

I am going in to the office as soon as I can work up the nerve to brave the hellish rain.

ita, I hope you feel better soon.

cranberry orange cake

That sounds like such an interesting combination! If it were possible to find cranberries here I'd ask for the recipe.
