Same thing at the movie I went to and it was packed and the only exits were the center two aisles. It wasn't that long, dehydrate, people. Or sit in the damned aisle.

I thought it was supposed to be bad?
It was. You have no taste.
It would be really cool if someone could find and summarise this:
“Who Presses the Elevator Button After Someone Else: Dominance/Deference, Sex, and Authority Figure Determinants,” J.L. Fryrear, E.J. Lane and J.R. Itzkowitz, Psychological Reports, vol. 38, no. 2, April 1976, pp. 671-4
Finally! Answered! And so long ago!

Bah.
One wonders how many elevator rides they had to take to get an accurate sample?
Me, I saw King Kong with a BFF, and we both enjoyed the heck out of it -- it definitely passes the Butt Test, which is pretty critical for a three hour+ movie.
For me, the test is the Watch Test. Do I look at it? There are several theaters (including today's) whose seats are so uncomfortable, 15 minutes would fail a butt test. Plus, most are low enough that no matter what, my legs take turns going to sleep.
When I was in Safeway tonight, I was told I now qualify for their flexible medical spending account. Wha?
If we're paying $6 to sit in uncomfortable chairs to watch a movie from a bad angle, not to mention the $2 parking, all I really ask is that you keep your commentary to yourself. I get the urge, believe me, but you know what? Except in your own home, it is rude.
I totally agree, sarameg--I'm just glad when people aren't afraid to speak up and tell people to shut up. I've shushed people and even gone to an usher when I was worried about a very loud and large group of people that I didn't feel comfortable confronting about their loud yelling.
I never get to more than one cup of tea so I only have a stainless steel kettle. I'd like a nice teapot someday. But the research looks daunting. I may let ita do that for me when I'm ready to buy.
penguin poo research.
Heh. That was fun. That guy has some very diverse interests (based on what he's published).
OK, WTF? The location card thing on Law & Order just said "Washington Heights, Bronx." Um, Washington Heights is in Manhattan, not the Bronx. They shoot here! People should know better!
Also, my cat once again proved himself to have the best personality of any cat ever, by winning over even my mother, who doesn't like cats.
I am studying the anatomy of the back. I'm not sure why.
Someone brought a two year old to King Kong last night, and sat behind me. They must have left (switching adults) five times in the first half of the movie, totalling at least an hour of missed time between them. I can see how a sitter mightn't be affordable, but surely you're wasting money spent on tickets at this point.
And there's no way I'd expect a two year old to sit through that movie without being freaked out. It's not like they could sleep through it.
I am officially starting 2006 sick. I thought I had just drank some bad milk this morning but the fever, chills and ongoning intestinal distress lead me to think that it's more that just bad food.
Con someone make my evening better by telling me that GA is on in 45 minutes. The station that shows it early was showing Commander in Chief.
ETA:I am supposed to start yoga again tomorrow, but I don't know if I will make it.
