They should film that story and show it every Christmas.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Everyone here is asleep.

Five hour delay to Chicago, and then got in to Providence at 2. Parents were asleep, so I was at that airport until 7AM, not having enough for cabfare since I had to budget in parking at LAX.

So. Instead of taking a six hour direct flight into Logan like a normal person, I acquieced to my dad's wished since he was the one who was picking me up and went indirect to TF Green.

If I had been thinking like a rational person, I would have just booked to Logan and then taken the T to my parents'. Me = stoopid.

Nephew is heartachingly beautiful.

And also suspicious of me. Until we played catch, and that was good.

Happy New Year everyone. I know it's a pain in the ass for those who live here, but gah, I am so glad it snowed tonight. I missed the snow.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Allyson, so happy you're getting some snow. Now all you need is some chopped liver and you're set.

It'll be good. Spending time with nephew is so good. Mom is taking me shopping, also good. Mom got me a pink toolkit, which is darling.

Sorry about the travel woes, Allyson. But I'm glad you have snow and adorable nephew.

And a pink toolkit. That rocks!

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I think old fogeydom has definitely caught up with me. I have now officially abandoned plans to go downtown to the free concert or to the neighborhood gay bar to see the New Year's Eve show, as running errands and the 1-hour wait for dinner have worn me out. However, my toilet is now clean and my living room floor broken ornament-free, so at least I'll be getting a fresh start for the new year.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Dude, you have a hot date coming up, too. You're totally off the fogy hook.

Happy New Year's, everyone! I'm just checking in before I turn off the lights, so I want to wave bye-bye to the year....
