God Theo, that's awful!
Nora, I sent something to the e-mail you sent me something on.
Got the estimate on my car: $2600+ (it would probably have been more in actuality). Too rich for my blood - that will be money better spent towards a newer one. I could almost justify anything up to 2K, as I think it was worth twice what I paid for it, but beyond that I just can't justify it. At least it's over (or will be when I get out to Eastie and payoff the expenses and retrieve my plates).
I think I will go carless for the foreseeable, though. There are a few people who may be selling in the not-too-distant future.
ita should take a day.
Theo, that is awful.
I just ran a meeting that I had virtually no info for. Now I am plotting lunch, cause I forgot to bring in the food I made last night.
Theo, let me add my ~ma to you and your friend.
Frank, sorry to hear the car was a loss. I hope the car-free life treats you well.
Nora, gotten and replied.
I wonder how much that's adjusted for cost-of-living differences, though.
Seriously. Also? People are nuts. Actually, I wonder how much the NE figures are affected by people who get a hotel room in NYC that night -- that would skew the numbers like woah.
I have done approx. 15 minutes of work so far today. Now I'm thinking about ordering in lunch, but I don't know where they keep the menus...
I've never spent that much money on NYE-- how is it possible that that is
average?

Yeah, that's a good point.
I think DH and I will end up spending around $125 for food, champagne, and caviar, but the food is a big deli tray from FreshDirect will will be lunch, dinner, and at least lunch the next day.

I'm assuning its the mean average. Which means all the folks spending thousands of dollars are really gonna skew the results. Also, I think a lot of $150+ bottles of champagne get sold.
I think the most I spent was between $200-300, but that was a coursed dinner and champagne and a room and 4 hours of entertainment.
