This is a time of celebration, so sit still and be quiet.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I don't get the HIMYM love, but I'm certainly not going back a second time to doublecheck.

It's a Doogie thing.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

That's the one! Between the cats being chased all over the apartment, and "The Love Song of J. Alfred Proomba," I don't think I've ever laughed more in my life.

It's a Doogie thing.

There are all these other people! And only three sets! And everyone just SITS.

I mean, based on that one ep I saw. They may stroll in the others, but run? I doubt it sincerely.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

It's a Doogie thing.

Well, that and a Big Doofy Guy From Freaks & Geeks Playing AH's Fiancé thing. Hec and I keep forgetting to watch it, but on the very rare occasions that we have remembered the combined charmingness and goofusy adorability of Jason Segal and Aly Hannigan turns us into helpless glurbling puddles. It really ought to be cloying and irksome. It's utterly mysterious. It's a thing.

There are all these other people! And only three sets! And everyone just SITS.

Even with that, it's a Doogie/NPH thing.

I can't read many of her cat essays without explosive laughter. Roomba one is priceless.

I'm not over my holiday grinchies and it is ridiculous. I find myself snarling at year-in-review stuff. Stupid.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

HIMYM is the sitcom version of my life, for real. All I do is sit, too!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

(When Neal Patrick Harris isn't slipping the show into his tailored breast pocket, Jason Segel and Alyson Hannigan are so cute you could sprinkle powdered sugar on them and pop them in your mouth.)

Aly and Jason do have fantastic comic chemistry together. And as noted, Doogie rocks.

And then NO ONE CARED.

That's tough, cuz while you might have a slight edge on Lori in cool hair, she's still got her own cool hair to rock. Plus rocket scientist.

You should totally write a book so people would genuflect to you as is right and proper.

Heh. Emmett's got his shuffle on and listening to Jack Black's xmas song over and over again, occasionally singing into his Fisher Price microphone (w/ feedback).
