Even though I don't quite use all the "proper" fingerings. There's got to be a better way to phrase that.
Makes sense to me....
One thing about my typing that bugs me - I always use the left 'Shift' key (with left pinkie), even when the letter I'm capitalizing also requires my left hand.

I totally do that, too! I wonder why.
I bought hot and sour soup for lunch today, and am very disappointed, since it is not hot or sour.
Bah! A pox upon it!

Weird-- I do it, too. I really don't use my right pinky for much of anything. I sort of touch type with my left hand and then use the first two fingers of my right hand
ita, George Clooney is on Fresh Air today. He was talking about dealing with the injury he sustained during Syriana. His injury was such that he had spinal fluid leaking. Anyway, his take is interesting. about 30 minutes in to the interview.
FYI.
I saw him talking about that craziness on Letterman. SO scary!

That happened to me once and it was the worst thing ever.
Wait, did that happen to ita too?

I type the opposite of Sophia, mostly with my right hand with occasional contributions from my left. I have been on the shrunken keyboard on my laptop for so long, though, that I'm not sure what I do to shift. I seem to be using my left ring finger, for some reason.
I never learned the home keys and all that, but last time I did a speed test I found I typed 65 WPM, which seemed surprisingly fast to me.
I plan on having tomato soup for lunch, which I expect to be neither hot nor sour. Except for the heat of being warmed on the stove.
I'm a right-pinky shifter. I type much faster on keyboards other than this one -- it doesn't matter how much I use one or the other, I just don't like Mac keyboards. They're too small and unresponsive.

My fave keyboard is the Microsoft "Natural" keyboard, but I love the feel of the keys on the Mac white keyboards. (I had a Bluetooth one, but it died. It was perfect for typing on my lap while watching TV.)
