Poking head out of lurkdom (grr, I miss you guys!) to post that, according to the Buffista Calendar, today is a triple Buffista event, with the birthdays of Jesse, Rayne (whom I hadn't seen posting in forever, so I hope the well-wishes find her somehow) and Theodosia. Happy birthdays for all the lovely ladies! With lots of wishes for a great day and a wonderful year.

Happy (holi)days, to everybody who has days. To those who don't, how did you manage to play with the fabric of time?

I walked the last guest to his car walked back in the house, did not stop to pick up dishes, did not stop to turn off lights, bed was my destination and nothing could foil my plan. Ah.

I also had the insomnia last night. The guest bed I was sleeping in also kept rejecting the sheets it was made with.

In fairness to the bed, the sheets were ugly when my mother bought them in the 70's, so I think I would reject them too.

Lovely family day yesterday. I'm heading out today to visit with an old friend I don't get to see often enough. We'll hope the chest crud from hell (leftover flu trying desperately to turn into bronchitis) doesn't prevent the nonstop chatter that usually marks our get-togethers.
