Hey, preaching to the choir. I thought our Lady of the Perpetual Sea Breeze was the real deal until the Divine Miss J walked right through that door and right into my ass—which is where my heart is…physiologically. I could show you an x-ray.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Depends on what you want out of the placement, Kate.

Yeah, this is what I have to decide. Thanks for the links; I took out On the Rez from the library yesterday, so I'm reading up on the reservation now. I was really excited about the Argentina trip, but the Pine Ridge thing, as you note, offers the possibility to make some positive and lasting change. It's probably going to come down to how much time they want me to give, because I'm not ready to commit anything more than a couple of weeks per year until after I'm out of school.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Now I'm cranky AND jealous.

The google hack doesn't work for my school internet. I still get a verboten trying to get to gmail.

Harumph. It's harshing my cheer.

Tom, I give you permission to become a teacher, spending 14 hours each weekend grading and then getting 2 months off, all for a fraction of your current salary!

Actually, I won't lie. Being a teacher is great and time off RAWKS. Especially because I'm Bahamas bound and then Ireland bound and because I get 2 more months come July and August.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

You know what is currently harshing my cheer? The sad sad lack of Al Green in my iTunes. What's up with that? I have like 8 songs total.

OK, that and the paper that didn't magically write itself overnight.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Stupid work printers aren't letting me print images I NEED for my goddamned boarding pass. Ah well, at lease I'm checked in. I can always get the pass at the airport.

The pictures are cute.

Yet cruel. No one should dress dogs up.

I think it's more cruel to dress cats up. (ketchup?) Some dogs might like the attention.

IOCatN, does anyone else have a cat that likes to make a flying leap onto your shoulder and perch there as you walk about?
