Three miles, in three hours? The heck? And okay, maybe there are no sidewalks.

Actually, if there's snow, 3 miles could be bad. Especially if there's snow and the sidewalks aren't clear.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Especially if there's snow and the sidewalks aren't clear.

And if the way includes fraying rope bridges over leopard pits.

But sarameg, you like walking with luggage.

That was an OVERSIGHT. Not like. I just didn't see the big deal. Latent midwestern values at work. It was silly.

Besides, I did ship it off later.

I dunno, tommy, I like leopard pits.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Leopard pits aren't so bad. Snake pits, spider pits, komodo dragon pits - those would worry me.

Three miles of walking in the snow isn't that bad really. Depends on the temp, but still.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

And a cheetah pit--pfft!

hip deep in pie

Depends on how much snow, if there's slush, and which way the wind is blowing.

The lack of sidewalks is what really could be a deterrent for walking 3 miles. Sometimes busy roads are just scary to walk along without a sidewalk.

ETA: Hey I'm posting from Cape Breton. Do I look any different?

Hec, is there any sort of mammal pit that worries you?

I imagine that snakes and komodo dragons would be pretty lethargic at typical December morning rush hour temperatures....

They are so freakin' lazy, those cheetahs. They sprint for one minute and they're done for the day. Flopping around and panting and having tufty eared kits pouncing on them.

My money's on Nutty. But she might need a Maglite.

Our wings are not tired.

I've walked in the snow for 3 miles, but for pleasure, on vacation. Walking 3 miles in the snow to and from work, a whole different vibe.
