I'm a single undead gal trying to make it in the big city. I have to start somewhere and they're evil here. They don't judge. They've got necro-tempered glass. No burning up. A great medical plan, and who needs dental more than us?

Which may be why I'm having trouble with it. Also, deadlines make it work, and work and me aren't getting along these days.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

No self-respecting engineering student would make the kinds of dumb mistakes that are built into us. All of our pelvises slope forward for convenient knuckle-dragging, like all the other great apes. And the only reason you stand erect is because of this incredible sharp bend at the base of your spine, which is either evolution's way of modifying something or else it's just a design that would flunk a first-year engineering student.
t nods and nods and nods

but now it's occurring to me that you could totally have a great SCUBA cruise, and dive a number of places. Huh.
ita, I have my PADI books and cd coursework if you'd like to borrow for a refresh. I recall you saying that you had done the classes and pool work, just needed the open water dives to cert.

So glad that Franny is okay, Burrell. How frightening.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

No, I haven't -- but that's how I was planning on approaching it, by doing all that work before I fly out.

However, having looked at stuff on the web, I might not even. Still deciding.

HOWEVER, borrowing your stuff can't hurt, can it?

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

Which may be why I'm having trouble with it.

And I'm having trouble with work because it's something that they can't pay me enough to do.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I think that's going to be my new motto. I've been looking for something catchy.

They're paying you enough to do some of it.
