What Perkins said.
you have a box in the mail. It is silly
I do? Yay! And another yay for the silly!
msbelle, I was thinking about you when we had all our kitchen breaking down on us. I kept reminding myself that at least we had a sink. You helped me get through this mess without even knowing it.
I know I could get into work, but since I didn't get up early to beat the crowds on the commuter train, I am gonna work from home (unless I get directed otherwise). I am pretty sure that means watching movies while working.
Broken kitchens are NO FUN at all, but I do believe broken bathrooms would be much worse. Glad my past experience of kitchen failure could help you through. misery loves company.

There are exercises that simply can't be checked and graded without the help of watching movies all throughout. At least, I can't grade them any other way.

The Hebrew version of this has two versions, in fact. One is just like this one - "the trouble of many if half the condolences". The other, however, is "the trouble of many is the condolences of a fool". The funny thing is, sometime people only bother to say the first half ("the troule of many"), and just leave you to complete the second half as you prefer it. [Edit: what I was trying to say was, I like the English version better.]
it is rare that a sying is English is preferred, so YIPEE!
I think the transit strike is making me giddier than normal. I am sorry for all those who have to endure hellish commutes this morning. Thank dog for my rational CEO.
Oh and I meant to say, as amazing as it sounds Lillian is really THAT CUTE. I think she was sending me a message through those amazing eyes: "Please come hold me again".
Eeek! As a person who commutes via public transit on a daily basis, I feel for NYC. It's going to be a royal mess.

That's how I feel about the rainy day we have today. My roommate just called to whine about her ruined laundry, and I was all "yay rain!".
Lillian is really THAT CUTE
Hmm, I think I should threadsuck and look for the pictures I've probably skipped.
[Edit: my post # is like the digits are raindrops all falling, each in a different place, and therefore out of order. They're probably not going to damage any laundry, though.]
I'm at work. The Brooklyn Bridge wasn't too crowded yet, although there were about 20 camera crews blocking things. The winds were kicking up nicely across the East River.
Now I'm all stiff. I should have been practicing more.
