"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Not quite so tickled to hear that I've been pronouncing it incorrectly in my head all this time.

I was thrown by the fact that ita and the local head instructor pronounce the first word completely differently. I'm chalking it up to the latter's Southern accent.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Is there any alternative to ordering movie tickets online except Fandango?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Different theaters use different online ticketing companies. I think each online ticketing place tries to get exclusive deals with certain theater chains. So, to not use Fandango you'd probably need to find a theater that uses something else.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

You can try moviefone.com, but if a theater uses fandango, it probably won't use the other.

Ha! I eventually found it on MovieTickets.com.

Exclusive deals suck. Feh!

But I will get to see the Narnia movie tonight, so rock on!

I would like to see ita and tommyrot both in perfect health.

But I would also like to see tom in an eyepatch. Hard choices...

Our wings are not tired.

Whee! I had to make a quick trip to the store and heard erinaceous on the radio on the way. Always a treat. I love how she sounds quite as adorable as she is in person.

I had to go to the store because I gave up on finding a box of ornament hooks in my boxes of decorations. Now that I have given up and paid the 70 cents for a new box I shall find plenty at home.

Our wings are not tired.

In more mememe since I am avoiding going back to work, the State Farm insurance inspector stopped by earlier today to examine my damage. He was a delightful young man from Austin. He is working 18 hour days trying to finish up so he can get back home before the end of the year.

He had worked Louisiana too and agreed that we were lucky down here. Most people are in the same situation as we are. The damage isn’t enough to get out of deductible range, but we have to put a claim in so we can be rejected and then apply to FEMA.

I have to say that the FEMA and insurance people I have met with or communicated with via email or phone have all been agreeable and helpful. I was reimbursed for a portion of the chain saw almost immediately. I’ve only recently put in the generator request and I should be able to apply for the home repair in about a week when I get this guy’s info back.

State Farm guy agreed with DH completely that we should do the repairs ourselves since the rates charged for roof and screen repairs are crazy. Also, the wait time is 6-12 months.
