Anya, the Shopkeepers of America called. They wanted me to tell you that 'please go' just got replaced with 'have a nice day.'

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

ita's peeing on my mix parade.

You betchya.

I say 3000 miles and a girlfriend means you bask in the crushiness without worrying that you'll have to follow up.

But then there's the flipside that it's much easier to overinvest believing that you're safe, and suddenly the 3000 miles really hurts, and there's nothing you can do about it.

Don't get me wrong, I'd kill to have a good heady crush (I'm not sure I ever have). But they're so much better when the odds are good. And if you do have any control (may not be possible), I say you look at the odds before you get too far into indulging the warm fuzzies.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I just walked down a flight of stairs for the first time while wearing my new bifocals progressive lenses, and I was staring at my feet oddly the whole time, and stopped once mid step to figure out the depth thing, and when I got to the bottom, one of the senior partners and his wife were staring at me.

I'm pretty sure I came across as not being tremendously bright.

"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

Wow. So I just went and looked up both the school they were trying to place me at and the one they're now trying to place me at... parent reviews of the two schools: "This school is a dead end school. As a Prent/Guardian, I never seen a school that bad in my whole life" to "This is the greatest school on earth." And the real indicator, I think, comes from the students: "I am a student there and the children are out of control parents who do not go to the school during school hours can not even comment i feel bad for teachers who can't teach because the students are such a distraction.I am a senior this year graduating 2006" versus "No other high school could have equipped me better for coursework at Princeton and balancing academics and extracurriculars." Ouch.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Anyway, semester over!

Yay! And good on you for getting the placement thing straightened out.

Allyson, many people are saying good things wrt the crush. I will just reiterate your lovableness. Lovability. Whatever.

I'd kill to have a good heady crush

Psst -- that's not the best strategy, FYI.

Depends on who I want to have the crush on.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Anyway, semester over!

Yay!! Me, too!! Are they trying to place you at the better school?

So, I need a new vacuum. I want a bagless that's under $200. Any recommendations??

OK, that's true. And actually, it's not entirely untrue that killing is a bad strategy wrt a crush, if you don't need it to go beyond a crush. I mean, John Hinkley could still be crushing on Jodie Foster, for all I know.

Our wings are not tired.

Yay for the end of semester! Freedom! Party!

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

End of semester isn't for another hour and twelve minutes. muttermuttergrumble.
