Zoe: Planet's coming up a mite fast. Wash: That's just cause, I'm going down too quick. Likely crash and kill us all. Mal: Well, that happens, let me know.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I have a fairly gross question for a boy person or someone who knows boy people: If one goest to the bathroom and has to do number one AND number two does one tend to a) stand then sit; b) sit then stand; or c) sit for the entire production?

My apologies.

"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

is this because you're crushing so hard on Turing that you can't focus on anything else?

I wish. This is because I was up till 3 trying to read his math and write about it coherently.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Trudy, my understanding is that the answer is usually C

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I think a lot of them are bullshit made up abbrevations. That would make me craxy.

Oh, I agree. A lot of them are bullshit made-up jobs too... I am fine with ASM and ME, it is just the other ones...

I emailed him to tell him that if we are intending documents for students to read in lieu of us actually, you know, talking to them, perhaps we should make the document readable...

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Trudy, it's C, but I can imagine a guy with prostate issues might have to resort to A or B.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

A nice cup of tea.

And just so you guys know I do have boundaries, I recently stumbled across crime-scene pictures of three of Tookie Williams's victims, and I'm totally not propagating the link.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ha HA! I've been here an hour-ish, and I've totally already written a decent page of new stuff. In your FACE, paper!

Yeah, sorry, I'm going to be doing this all day. It's the only thing that will keep me sane. Feel free to ignore.

Swouncing

if you divide f(x) by (x-a), why is the remainder always f(a)?

Intuitively, I have words to try and explain this with, but I don't know to put this into "mathematical" words. Oof, I wish I could talk to you on the phone or something to show you what I mean.

I'll try to write something down. It's so clear to me, and yet I find it difficult to phrase. Grr.
