"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Yeah, Charlie is a moron and Liam is a dick.

So they really are modelled on Oasis, aren't they?

Interesting that Locke considers the Holy!heroin Mary statues to be weapons.

Notice also that he changed the combination again, since a couple of people found out what it was last episode.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Desmond and Rousseau are on the other other side of the island, at the hotel having daquiris.

That's what I'm figuring. By now, Michael's probably there, too, organizing a windsurfing competition.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Locke didn't destroy the statues. I find that odd. I suppose he could be keeping them for their medicinal value, but I doubt it, somehow.

Yes, likely for another Charlie whinge-fest.

2 excellent things that happened in this episode:

1) Eko's response to why he was marking the trees : "these are the ones I like." I don't know what he's up to, but I still loves him. Even with all the baptism stuff.

2) Charlie gets punched THREE TIMES! ANd then a needle in his face! And many, many people told him to shut it.

So, yeah, Jack ep last week, Charlie ep this week, excuse me while I...

t yawn t scratch myself in a bored fashion @@

At least stuff HAPPENED on the island in last week's episode between the flashback reminders of "gee, think Jack's got a God complex/control issues?"

Locke's step up in violent badassery both in words and action was interesting. He was sort of boring me for a while there, too. Not because his actions were subtle, but because he was pretty blank for a while.

If Charlie went off the deep end and kind of evil, then that could be better than his constant whining.

Yeah, so did anything HAPPEN? Were the hallucinations heroin-induced or island-induced? Did they mean ANYTHING? (besides the opportunity for Christian theologizin') Was Charlie using? Did....zzzzzzzzzzzzz

t wakes up with a start

Oh, Ana-Lucia? If you ever make Jack say "hittin' that" AGAIN I will die trying to kick your ass.

I'm just hoping that now that we have Jack and Charlie back stories out of theway for now, maybe some other, more interesting characters might be highlighted. For a few weeks anyway.

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I am so done with Charlie, I don't know what to do.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

1) Eko's response to why he was marking the trees : "these are the ones I like." I don't know what he's up to, but I still loves him. Even with all the baptism stuff.

That, to me, was the saddest thing about the fire -- it destroyed all those trees.

Oh, Ana-Lucia? If you ever make Jack say "hittin' that" AGAIN I will die trying to kick your ass.

Damn skippy!

Oh man, I hadn't even pinged that, I was too busy screaming at how stupid Charlie was being setting the fire in the first place (I was praying it was a misdirect and one of the Others - or the other Others - did it). He's lucky Eko didn't step up and punch him a few times himself (or that the whole group didn't line up a la the hysterical woman scene in AIRPLANE).

Aw, man, Jessica made me have an emotion about the episode. I hope you're happy!

(I hadn't thought of that before, was too bogged down in the eye-rolling. But it is sad.)

All is well that ends in pizza.

I have to ahem it to watch it again. I thought the fire was in the brush, off to the one side of the camp. I didn't think it was where Eko was marking trees.

Huh.
