It's simple. I slap 'em around a bit, torture 'em, make their lives hell...Sure, the nice guys'll run away, but every now and then you'll find a prince like Spike who gets off on it.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

And I'm in total agreement about Jack being a jackass (also incredibly stupid).

Another reason I am Locke's Bitch. He doesn't follow Jack and tells Jack like it is.

"Who are we to tell people where they can and can't go?" (or something very similar)

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I suspect Michael headed out in the direction he did because he heard from his Mysterious Computer Correspondent (who after all may not be Walt) that he should go that way, and possibly that Walt was in some immediate danger -- hence the haste and force with which he departed instead of trying to gather a hunting party, which he surely could have if he'd revealed he was getting messages to other Losties.

If it wasn't the Captain Birdseye Others who caused the plane crash, then who was it? Haven't the writers always more or less said that the crash wasn't an accident? Plane with Walt crashes on the island, Others want, take, have Walt, but are pissed off that there are other people on 'their' island. So they didn't cause it, I assume. Also if it's 'their' island, then who the hell are all the other Others?

I was so excited when I saw Captain Birdseye, but as soon as I started thinking about it, I reaslised I was more confused than ever.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

hence the haste and force with which he departed

I was half-expecting a "24 hours earlier..." to follow the scene where he locked Locke (hee) and Jack in the closet, because I remember him being twitchy last week, but not full-on craxxxy complete with wild unkepmt hair. I felt like we missed a piece.

What is even happening?

Another reason I am Locke's Bitch. He doesn't follow Jack and tells Jack like it is.

"Who are we to tell people where they can and can't go?" (or something very similar)

See, Locke is very right in one way, but the Lostaways have every reason to believe any of them are in danger, wandering the island alone (or in pairs, for that matter, or at all, but alone, most of all). And remember that it seems Michael knocked Locke out, and held Jack, at gunpoint, locking them both in armory closet.

a. Who is Michael to do that?

b. What possible reason did Michael give them, to think he was in his right mind.

Sure, someone can go and jump off a bridge. If I'm standing next to him, I'm going to grab his arm and try to stop him if I can.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

For Evangeline Lilly fans.

when i die, please bake my ashes into a brick and use me to hit fascists.

"Lost" has done very well in DVD sales, finishing 2005 as the second-best-selling TV-DVD with 1.04 million units sold, according to trade publication Home Media Retailing

Irrationally hoping that "Firefly" was the best-selling.

Our wings are not tired.

1st - Chappelle's Show: Season 2 Uncensored - 2.84 million units

2nd - Lost: The Complete First Season - 1.04 million

3rd - Seinfeld: Season 4 - 860,000

4th - The Simpsons: The Complete Sixth Season - 830,000

Lost was 2nd, but quite a success for Chappelle there.
