I think that might be my favourite episode so far this season. Eko is by far the most interesting character to come along in a while, and the Charlie storyline didn't even bother me. His "Are you going to beat me with your Jesus-stick?" line had me giggling like mad. As soon as we saw Eko with the cornrows, I went to the Adebisi place. If we're requesting Adebisi bits, I vote hair 'fro fork.
Did anyone else see things in the black mist monster thing? Little flashes? Ima go back and watch that scene, I think.
I am left wondering if there's some way to process it to a form that would be more useful, medically. Not that we want to get people hooked, but it could easily come in handy to have some high-quality painkiller around.
Well, all opioids are addictive, if you take them enough. The real problem with heroin that's in the middle of being transported across borders is that it ought to be unbelieveably pure and this very dangerous. If the Batcave has a giant canister of cornstarch, they should be able to dilute it to useable strength, don't you think?
But they'd have to use somebody as a guinea pig to find out the ideal smack:cornstarch ratio.

I guess I'll take striped sock.

It looks like flashes of people, but I couldn't make out who.

Yeah, that's pretty much what I got. My copy's not particularly good quality though. Maybe it'd look better on HD.

Based on the can of ranch dressing Michael obliviated, I'm pretty sure they can find some cornstarch in there.
So, I'm saying it's not Walt. Or, if it is, he's been assimilated.
And now I have finished saying it.
I'm without knowledge of the medicinal value of heroin or the process of cutting it to usable strength. However, in my experience, the creative minds working on the show won't have any issue with making shit up about these properties if and when the time comes to make use of the stashed drug.
Ah, so Eko flashes in the black smoke. I shall watch again with closer attention. The look on his face led me to believe that Locke had seen the same thing when he had his encounter.
Very interesting.
