What is even happening?

Well Narrator, I think I need more wine.

The evil is this way?

Don't we all, Cindy?

What is even happening?

Since the niece and daughter think they're so big, surely they can find an all-night liquor store.

Oh dear. I just flashed to the two of them in some wacky comedy series where they are totally able to get fake ID badges and have adventures. I am not sure that the world can survive.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Oh! Who laughed at the Target commercials? They cracked me up! Especially the boar/BBQ sauce one.

Haaaa, I knew it. That was our least favorite. The smoke detector and keyboard ones were hilaaaaarious, though.

And Eloise knew all of this? Was she god?

I thought Christian was God. But who really knows who anyone besides the Lostaways really "is." We're talking about an artificially constructed collective Purgatory here.

We know Ben did a good job helping Hurley guard the island/glowy magical cave. And that means a lot to me. I'm really invested in Ben's redemption.

Yeah, when Hurley asked Ben to be his new Richard, I said, "'And please don't kill me.'" But he didn't!

I'm not sure what I thought of the finale. I enjoyed it on an emotional level, but on a storytelling level, I wasn't particularly satisfied.

Yeah, I can work with that. I really like that the final message of the series is that it's the connection between all these people that matters.

"Oh no! Has falling sky liquid once again caused you the sadness?" -Starfire

This is so hysterical This week in Unnecessary Censorship

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

I think THIS is why I come out on the "liked it even if it's not completely satisfying" side.

A better ending than Twin Peaks, I suppose.

Well, to be fair that was supposed to be the SEASON finale, not the series. That said, I would expect David Lynch to do something equally fucked up (in all senses of the phrase) if he'd had a chance at a series finale.

the hardest to learn / was the least complicated

I can't believe I'm admitting this, but it occurred to me this morning that, of all shows, "Hallelujah" would have worked.

I mean, *officially* I stand by my position that it's overused and should not be allowed in TV/movies any more. But I think it would have worked last night.

Part of me thinks I would have thrown something at the television at the sound of the first few notes, but part of me thinks you're not wrong.
