The bleedthrough between the plane crash-y timeline and the non-crashy timeline is weird. And also rather trite, if it's really all about Twoo Wuv.

I was JUST coming in to say the same thing. Also, Desmond's last appearance was even MORE confuzzling. The bleedthroughs are getting harder to parse (though the Gene Wilder thing may explain more things than are on heaven or earth Horatio).
