Mal: Gotta say, doctor, your talent for alienatin' folk is near miraculous. Simon: Yes, I'm very proud.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

(There's also the question of how she knew it worked.)

Current spec is that as she was dying, her consciousness was flashing between realities like Desmond's time-jumps, and her little "We should go for coffee sometime" was coming from AU Juliet.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

That's what I figured was happening.

Awesome. I wish I'd seen those before last night.

All is well that ends in pizza.

I think I'll make a prediction based on pure speculation.

Somewhere down the line, the line between the two sets of Losties starts braking down. The ones who are dead in the old time line may or may not be affected.

I guess it would be interesting to be new Jack merging minds with old Jack, ditto for Sawyer.

Will the ones who "remember" come back to the island, or just merge with them?

Will the dead losties remember their time on the island and their own deaths?

"These questions—and many others—will be answered in the next episode of Soap."

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I think that Sayid may be a vehicle for Jacob, just as dead Locke is for Esau. When they were carrying him out of the water, he was very Christ-like. Plus, you know, Aslan and all that.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I suspect Desmond-on-the-plane was jumping through time, hence the disappearing after Jack saved Charlie. But I am not sure. And I am less sure about everything else.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

I'm less sure about everything too. Heck, I'd say down right confused. The dual time lines really screwing with the noggin'. Although I do like the notion of "careful what you wish for, because the other way isn't so grand"

Has it been pointed out that the two divergent timelines are happening a hundred and mumbly-something days apart? That is the one-the-plane story is happening well before the on-the-island story. Maybe the two lines will start breaking down as the former approaches where the second one began? Maybe.
